Certificates

In addition to buying NFTs, our users can order physical certificates of ownership as a way to bring digital assets to real life and celebrate their status as NFT owners. This idea was inspired by the signed celebrity photos. While an NFT may seem like a sufficient modern replacement for autographed pictures, we decided to offer physical signed certificates as a way to establish a closer connection between you and the artist.

Autographed Certificates of Ownership

Everyone who buys NFTs on the Woosh platform can also order a signed certificate of ownership. Those who purchase a certificate from Dallia will also have a personalized, hand-written message from the singer. Currently this is the only way to get Dallia’s autograph from the comfort of your home, exclusively available to the NFT holders!

The certificate also contains your name, an image of Dallia from the NFT art, a reference number, and a signature from the CEO of Woosh David Claiborne. Keep in mind that while there are 5 different photos of Dallia spread among 200 NFTs, the photo on the certificate is always the same, as pictured above.

When it comes to the name on the certificate, Woosh will use your username by default. If you need to change the name you entered during the registration, you can do so in your profile. Keep an eye out for an email from Woosh to confirm the name on the certificate and your delivery address.

It is also important to note that tokens take precedence over paper certificates. For instance, if a token holder sells their NFT, they can keep their paper certificate as memorabilia but it cannot be used as proof of token ownership.

The Background

Collecting personalized memorabilia first became popular in the mid-19th century. Back then, book lovers collected the autographs of their favorite writers. The invention of photography fueled the fascination with autographed photos.

These days, signed pictures from celebrities of both the present and past can sell for thousands of dollars at an auction. From an authentic autographed photo of Freddie Mercury to a rare Elvis Presley signed snapshot, autographed photos are highly collectible and sought-after.

Our team at Woosh can still remember the days when we waited for singers near the concert venues, shivering in the cold, to get an autograph on our tickets, CDs, and magazines. Luckily, you don’t have to line outside for hours anymore!
